ElecKey Team Manager – Properties Pane

The Properties pane allows you to set the permissions for a team to use certain tools, features, Program IDs of ElecKey, as well as for a limited time period. To generate the License Key for the team, you must enter your Activation Key and the Machine ID received from the team. After setting the permissions, click the Generate button.

Activation Key

Enter the Activation Key that you used to activate your ElecKey license.

Machine ID

Enter the Machine ID received from a team. After the team installs ElecKey and starts one of the tools, the Product Registration and Activation dialog box will appear. The team must enter the Name and Organization exactly the same as the original registration information that you used to activate your ElecKey license. Then, the Machine ID will be displayed on the dialog box.

Implementation Drop-Down List

The Implementation drop-down list allows you to choose the preset Tools & Features permissions for generating the License Key to the team.

· Custom. The Custom implementation does not preset any permission. You can specify the tools and features allowed for the team as you want.

· Integration. The Integration implementation presets the necessary permissions for a system integration team that integrates the software protection system into the application. The tools and features allowed for the team include ElecKey Integrator and UpdateShield Builder.

· Development. The Development implementation presets the necessary permissions for a development team that develops the protected application. The tools and features allowed for the team include ElecKey Integrator, Key Inspector, KeyCheck API, and UpdateCheck API.

· Testing. The Testing implementation presets the necessary permissions for a testing team that tests the protected application. The tools and features allowed for the team include Key Inspector.

· Serial Key Licensing. The Serial Key Licensing implementation presets the necessary permissions for a licensing team that generates the License Key and manages licenses (e.g customer support). The tools and features allowed for the team include LicenseKey Manager.

· USB Key Licensing. The USB Key Licensing implementation presets the necessary permissions for a licensing team that makes the USB License Key (e.g. customer support, dongle manufacturer). The tools and features allowed for the team include USB LicenseKey Manager.

· License Server. The License Server implementation presets the necessary permissions for a license server team that administers the Activation Server and manages licenses (e.g. system administrator). The tools and features allowed for the team include LicenseKey Manager that is enabled with the ability to generate the Master ID/ Master License for the Activation Server.

Tools & Features Tab

The Tools & Features tab allows you to enable the tools and features allowed for the team.

Tools

Select the ElecKey tools allowed for the team.

· ElecKey Integrator

· Key Inspector

· LicenseKey Manager

· USB LicenseKey Manager

· UpdateShield Builder

Key Types

Select the supported Key types for the tools allowed for the team. The Local Key/Machine License type is enabled by default.

· Network Key. Enable the tools allowed for the team to support software protection for floating network licenses.

· Mobile Key. Enable the tools allowed for the team to support software protection for Windows Mobile on smart devices and smartphones.

· USB License Key. Enable the tools allowed for the team to support software protection for USB dongle licenses.

APIs

Select the APIs allowed for the team.

· KeyCheck API

· UpdateCheck API

License Server

Select the license server support for the tools allowed for the team.

· Activation Server. Enable the tools allowed for the team to support the deployment of the Activation Server. This includes the Key ID Sum needed to configure the Activation Server, and the LicenseKey Manager tool enabled with the ability to generate the Master ID/ Master License for the Activation Server.

Programs Tab

The Programs tab allows you to enable the Program IDs for the tools allowed for the team.

Program IDs

Select the Program IDs allowed for the team (must not more than 10 Program IDs).

Limitations Tab

The Limitations tab allows you to set the time limit for the tools allowed for the team.

Time Limit

Select the time period allowed for the team.

· No Limit. The tools allowed for the team are available without time limit.

· Limit. The tools allowed for the team are available for a limited time period. You can specify the Max-Day (1-998 days) and the Started Date.
